What AXU can see
AXU Mail runs on your device. Your browser talks straight to Google or Microsoft. AXU never stores your mail or your login. “Never stores” isn't the same as “can't see”, so here is exactly where everything is.
| What | Where it lives | Can AXU read it? |
|---|---|---|
| Your emails and attachments | With Google or Microsoft, plus a cache on this device | No |
| Your Gmail or Outlook sign-in | Encrypted on this device only | No |
| Search, categories and drafts | On this device | No |
| Your coin watchlist and preferences | On this device | No |
| Which mail accounts you connected | On this device | No |
| Gmail sign-in codes and refreshes | Pass through AXU's open sign-in service on the way to Google; never stored or logged | Passes through only |
| Market prices on Today | AXU's public price data; your watchlist is filtered on this device | Sees that prices were requested |
The honest limits
- Your mail isn't end-to-end encrypted: Google or Microsoft still hold it, as they do today. AXU just stays out of the way.
- Anyone with this unlocked device can read the mail cached on it. Use “Remove everything from this device” in Settings before handing it on.
- Disconnecting an account deletes its sign-in here; for Gmail, AXU also asks Google to cancel it. You can always check at myaccount.google.com/permissions or account.live.com/consent/Manage.
- No ads ever appear in AXU Mail, your mail is never used to train AI, and reading mail never earns points.
